Questions, answered
Good to know before you book.
What does a hibachi party at home include?
Your chef brings the grill, the food, the cooking tools, and the live hibachi show, and cooks at your place. You provide the space and the table setting, and we bring the rest.
What does the host need to provide?
Tables and chairs for your guests, plates, utensils, and napkins, a level, stable, and safe cooking area, and access to a power outlet within reach of the cooking area. All of it should be ready before the service starts, with children and pets kept away from the cooking area.
Do you provide tables and chairs?
No. The host provides tables, chairs, plates, and utensils, while we bring the chef, the grill, the food, and the show.
How much does a hibachi party cost?
Our starting prices are $50 per adult, $30 per child under 12, and a $500 event minimum. Every event is quoted individually, and customer service confirms the final menu, guest count, price, and any travel fee with you.
What is included in the meal?
Each meal includes two proteins, hibachi fried rice, vegetables, and salad, with sake included as well. Anything else you want to serve is up to you.
Is a deposit required, and when do I pay it?
Your selected time is our priority. Once chef availability is confirmed, we’ll send instructions for the $50 deposit, which locks in your date and time and is applied toward your final bill. We’ll confirm the menu, guest count, final price, and any travel fee with you afterward.
Does choosing a date and time confirm my booking?
We’ll do our best to schedule your selected date and time. If our chef team is fully booked, we’ll contact you to find another time that works. Once chef availability is confirmed, we’ll send deposit instructions to lock your date; the remaining details are confirmed afterward.
How far ahead should I book, and when do I confirm the final details?
Book as early as you can, because peak dates go first. Confirm your final guest count and meat selections at least 48 hours before the event, or at the time we confirm a short-notice booking; later changes may not be possible. We can sometimes accept a booking the day before or the day of the event, at our discretion.
When does the chef arrive, and how long is the service?
The chef arrives as scheduled and begins promptly at the agreed start time. Service typically lasts 60–90 minutes depending on the number of guests. If a late start, an unprepared setup, or interruptions on the host's side delay the service, additional waiting fees may apply depending on the length of the delay.
Can you cook indoors?
Cooking location depends on ventilation, the venue's rules, and local requirements. Tell us about the space and customer service will review it with you before confirming.
Can you cook at an Airbnb, a park, or a private venue?
Often, yes. The property or venue has to allow live cooking and provide a safe, level area with room for the grill and the chef, so please confirm the venue's rules before you book.
What happens if it rains?
We cook rain or shine. In the rain, the host provides a dry, well-ventilated area under cover so the chef can keep cooking. If there is no suitable cover, or the site is unsafe or not ready, the event is rescheduled or cancelled under the cancellation terms.
Can you accommodate allergies or dietary needs?
Tell us about any food allergy, dietary restriction, or ingredient sensitivity when you book, or at least 48 hours before the event. We take reasonable precautions, but our cooking environment handles many ingredients, including soy, wheat, shellfish, eggs, and nuts, so we cannot guarantee that a dish is free of trace allergens or cross-contact. If you do not tell us about a restriction, we are not responsible for a reaction; if you do tell us, we will work with you to find a suitable alternative where we can.
How is the travel fee calculated?
Travel fees follow the shortest driving route from our Fort Lauderdale base to your address, as determined by a commercially reasonable mapping service. The amount depends on the distance, so include your event ZIP code with your booking and customer service will confirm availability and any travel fee. The bands are published in our Terms of Service.
What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
More than 72 hours before the event, the deposit is refunded in full by the same method you paid it within 5–10 business days. Between 24 and 72 hours, the deposit is not refunded and becomes a $50 credit toward a booking made within the next 6 months, counted from the day you cancel, and that credit cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash. Within 24 hours of the event, the deposit is forfeited. Contact customer service to cancel or reschedule; new dates depend on availability.
What happens after I choose a date and time?
You’ll receive an email confirming that we received your booking request. Customer service will then follow up about chef availability, the deposit, and the remaining details.
How will you contact me?
Mostly by email about your request, and by phone or text when customer service needs to confirm details. By giving us your mobile number and accepting the terms, you agree to receive text messages about your inquiry, booking, reminders, schedule changes, and customer support; reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time, or HELP for help.
